I just purchased the Omnisphere 2 Upgrade but when I try to launch the Spectrasonics Download Manager for MAC, it just says "Spectrasonics Download Manager quit unexpectedly" and I am unable to continue. But I tend to like make my own patches and rely on synthesis to generate them, what do you prefer. Omnisphere includes a morphing wavetable function, which is what Serum does, though they might sounds a little different, I for one don't like giant libraries, so there is also that to consider. I don't think one is better or worse than the other, but omnisphere will cover more bases with many more different types of synthesis and capability since it has more options and methods to generate tones.
